About the Role

The On Site Human Resources Manager position at Flexport's Lewisville Fulfillment Center is a critical role that will drive operational excellence and employee success. As the dedicated HR leader for this site, you will partner directly with fulfillment center leadership, managing all HR functions for a large and dynamic workforce. Your expertise in employee relations, labor law compliance, and HR best practices will be instrumental in shaping the employee experience and ensuring that operations run smoothly and compliantly.

The role entails a high level of autonomy, with the HR Manager serving as the primary point of contact for all people-related matters at the site. This includes advising leadership on strategic initiatives, managing the full employee lifecycle, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to partner with and influence site leadership to achieve business and people objectives, as well as excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the primary HR partner for the Lewisville Fulfillment Center, advising leadership on all people-related matters
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle for the site's workforce, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
  • Lead employee relations efforts, conducting investigations, mediating conflicts, and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies
  • Drive HR program implementation at the site level, including performance reviews, compensation cycles, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and Flexport policies within the fulfillment center
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, recommend solutions, and contribute to site-specific HR strategies
  • Partner with site leadership to achieve business and people objectives, providing strategic guidance and support
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
  • Manage employee communications, ensuring that all employees are informed and engaged

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an onsite operational environment
  • Proven expertise in employee relations, labor law compliance, and HR best practices for non-exempt workforces
  • Strong ability to partner with and influence site leadership to achieve business and people objectives
  • Experience managing HR functions independently for a specific site or business unit
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • A 'compliance first' attitude, with a strong focus on ensuring regulatory adherence
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of autonomy
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze HR data and recommend solutions

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HR systems and software, such as Workday or BambooHR
  • Certification in HR, such as SHRM-CP or PHR
  • Experience in a logistics or supply chain environment
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations in multiple states
