Job Description

About the Role

The Oncology Specialty Development Executive will play a critical role in driving sales growth and expanding Labcorp's presence in the oncology sector. This remote position will cover the territory of Michigan and central Indiana, and the ideal candidate will reside within this territory. As a key member of the sales team, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business plan, building strong relationships with customers, and identifying new business opportunities.

The role will involve extensive travel, with a focus on maximizing sales productivity and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the oncology market, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive annual business plan with quarterly updates to achieve sales goals
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to drive revenue growth
  • Conduct cold calls and build relationships with new customers to expand the company's presence in the territory
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales and operations teams, to identify new business opportunities and drive growth
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage customer interactions, track sales performance, and analyze market trends
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to existing customers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to maintain a competitive edge
  • Attend local and national trade shows and events to promote Labcorp's products and services
  • Develop and deliver presentations to customers and internal stakeholders to communicate the value proposition of Labcorp's products and services
  • Work closely with the sales team to share best practices and drive sales excellence

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of medical outside sales experience, with a focus on oncology or laboratory sales
  • Proven track record of sales success, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific information
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on sales productivity and growth
  • Strong consultative selling and closing skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
  • Ability to travel extensively, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
