## About the Role As an OP Facility SDS and Observations Coder at CorroHealth, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality coding services to support the company's clients. ## What You Will Do - Provide various components of coding services to support clients, including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for Outpatient Facility Same Day Surgeries - Calculate ProFee and/or Facility E/M levels using algorithms created by the company - Recognize critical care cases by patient acuity and code surgical procedures typical of an ER setting to capture additional revenue when appropriate - Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes to the highest level of specificity available - Interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment - Identify the importance of documentation on code assignment and the subsequent reimbursement impact - Align conduct with AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding and the company's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct - Support the company's Ethics and Compliance Program - Comply with all internal policies and procedures - Actively participate in company-provided training and education
## What We Are Looking For - Minimum of 2 years of experience in SDS and OBS coding - Certification through either AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) - Working knowledge and experience with systems such as EMR and Billing - Proficiency in Microsoft programs, including Excel and Outlook - Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing - Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines - Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required - Ability to maintain an ongoing productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher - Ability to maintain a quality score of 95% or higher
## Nice to Have - Experience with programmatic coding - Knowledge of ICD-10-PCS and HCPCS coding systems - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and billing systems
