Job Description

About the Role

The Operations Enablement Lead at Affirm is a critical role that will drive the strategic direction and execution of scalable, compliant, and high-quality servicing experiences across the Operations organization. This leader will oversee the development and implementation of programs that enable servicing operations to scale efficiently while delivering exceptional outcomes for customers and merchants. As a key member of the Operations Enablement team, this individual will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance, to ensure readiness for business and regulatory changes.

The Operations Enablement Lead will be responsible for defining program strategy, overseeing the development of clear roadmaps and execution plans, and ensuring progress is tracked against KPIs, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and risks. This role requires a hands-on, data-driven leader who thrives in complex, regulated environments and is passionate about building durable, high-quality servicing experiences at scale.

As a people leader, the Operations Enablement Lead will hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team, providing ongoing feedback, performance management, and career development to build long-term organizational capability.

What You Will Do

  • Own program and team performance, leading and managing a team responsible for delivering complex, cross-functional programs and initiatives
  • Set strategic direction and roadmaps, defining program strategy and overseeing the development of clear roadmaps and execution plans
  • Lead and develop talent, hiring, coaching, and developing a high-performing Operations Enablement team
  • Drive cross-functional alignment, partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver measurable business outcomes
  • Establish stakeholder governance, building strong stakeholder engagement and governance models, and delivering clear, polished, and executive-ready communications
  • Manage risk and delivery at scale, proactively identifying risks, issues, and trade-offs across programs, and guiding data-backed decision-making
  • Lead operational excellence, championing Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement practices, and guiding the team in identifying root causes, implementing scalable solutions, and raising the bar for quality, efficiency, and compliance
  • Own change and adoption, overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of projects, from design through implementation, change management, adoption, and measurement
  • Oversee knowledge and enablement systems, providing strategic oversight of technical resources, knowledge management, and enablement systems
  • Guide learning and training strategy, setting direction for end-to-end learning and training programs, and ensuring effectiveness through metrics, feedback loops, and continuous improvement

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in a financial services or technology company
  • Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce and Excel, with experience in managing complex data sets and developing data-driven insights
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks, and drive process improvements
  • Experience in managing change and adoption, with a focus on delivering sustained outcomes for customers and the business
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks, with experience in managing risk and ensuring compliance

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Certification in operations management or a related field
  • Experience in managing remote teams or working in a distributed environment
  • Strong understanding of the fintech industry and the competitive landscape
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects, with a focus on delivery and execution
