About the Role
The Operations Manager role at CXC Upstream Ltd is a critical position that requires a highly organized and commercially minded individual to support the day-to-day coordination of international operations. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to ensure that projects, corporate initiatives, and operational activities are delivered efficiently across the company's offices and mining operations. This is a varied role that demands someone who is comfortable managing multiple priorities across different business functions.As the central point of coordination between corporate teams, operational leadership, and external partners, the Operations Manager will play a key role in driving consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the Group. This will involve developing, implementing, and continuously improving operational processes, policies, and standard operating procedures.
The Operations Manager will be part of a dynamic team and will be expected to support cross-functional collaboration between corporate departments and mining operations to improve communication and execution. What You Will Do
- Coordinate operational activities across the Group, ensuring priorities are delivered on time and to a high standard
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational processes, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Monitor key operational projects, tracking progress, risks, and actions while ensuring timely reporting to senior leadership
- Support cross-functional collaboration between corporate departments and mining operations to improve communication and execution
- Manage relationships with key external suppliers, consultants, and service providers, ensuring quality, performance, and value
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen internal controls
- Coordinate executive travel, logistics, and operational support where required across the Group's international locations
- Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and management information to support business decision-making
- Ensure compliance with internal governance standards, health and safety requirements, and applicable regulatory obligations
- Support the delivery of strategic initiatives, acquisitions, business integration projects, and other corporate priorities as required
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an Operations Manager or similar business operations role
- Experience working within mining, natural resources, infrastructure, aviation, logistics, or another operationally complex international business
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Experience developing operational processes and driving continuous improvement
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work confidently across all levels of an organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel internationally when required
