About the Role
The Operations Senior Associate role at Coinbase is a pivotal position within the International EMEA Ops team, focusing on scaling the operations function for Coinbase Ireland Limited across the EEA. This role is integral to driving day-to-day business operations, managing consistent performance against targets, and surfacing risks or gaps to leadership. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Head of Operations and will be part of a remote-first but not remote-only company, which involves quarterly in-person working sessions.The role requires a deep understanding of financial services, operations strategy, or data analysis, with a proven track record of building or improving operational processes end-to-end. The ability to operate in a regulated environment and navigate the complexities of outsourcing governance and third-party risk management is essential.
What You Will Do
- Own daily business operations for CBIE across all lines of business, managing performance and identifying risks.
- Drive improvements to operational and regulatory reporting through data analysis and dashboard development.
- Develop and execute local operational and outsourcing processes to meet regulatory requirements.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective management of third-party risk.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and projects spanning operations, growth, strategy, and regulatory priorities.
- Support regulatory and product operations activities, including preparation for internal and external meetings.
- Utilize generative AI responsibly to drive workflow efficiency, cost, and quality improvements.
- Manage outsourcing risk management frameworks and related documentation.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in financial services, management consulting, operations strategy, or data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a regulated environment with a strong understanding of outsourcing governance.
- Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and Looker, with the ability to self-serve insights and produce dashboards.
- Direct experience with third-party risk management, including maintaining documentation and governance records.
- Ability to translate complex problems into structured work plans and execute with minimal oversight.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and excellent communication abilities.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

- Experience with data visualization tools beyond Looker.
