Operations Sourcing Manager, Data Center

What You Will Do

• Manage end-to-end sourcing operations for data center hardware, including supplier engagement, competitive bidding, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans that align with Anthropic's business objectives and deployment roadmap.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that sourcing strategies meet technical requirements and are aligned with product development plans.
• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers, including pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and business reviews.
• Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, benchmarking, and reporting to drive continuous improvement.
• Work closely with deploy operations teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of data center hardware.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including component shortages, supplier insolvency, and logistical disruptions.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance supplier performance.
• Provide operational support for new product introductions, including sourcing, procurement, and logistics.

What We Are Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain operations, with a track record of success in managing complex sourcing projects.
• Strong technical skills, including knowledge of data center hardware, IT infrastructure, and supply chain management principles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and colleagues.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and develop insights.
• Experience with supplier performance management, including scorecard development, benchmarking, and reporting.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, supply chain management, or engineering.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment, with strong self-motivation and discipline.

Nice to Have

• 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain operations, with a deep understanding of the data center hardware market.
• Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of IT service management principles, including ITIL or COBIT.
• Experience with procurement systems, including SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise software.
• Certification in supply chain management, such as CSCP or CLTD.
