About the Role
The Ops Generalist at Resend is a pivotal role that ensures the company's operational machinery runs smoothly. As a member of the team's connective tissue, this position is responsible for managing a wide range of tasks, from event planning and vendor management to travel logistics and administrative duties. Given the company's rapid growth and remote-first approach, the ability to work independently and thrive in ambiguity is crucial.Resend has grown significantly, with a team of 40 spread across 11 countries. This growth has naturally expanded the company's operational surface area, necessitating a skilled and creative individual who can own and grow with this work. The Ops Generalist will report directly to the Chief of Staff and will be an integral part of the team, ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks as the company continues to scale.
What You Will Do
- Document and automate internal processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload
- Manage travel logistics, including budgets and expense workflows, to ensure seamless execution
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, including renewals and procurement, to support business operations
- Coordinate projects that don't have a natural home on any single team, requiring a high degree of flexibility and problem-solving
- Plan and execute company events, such as offsites, build weeks, and Resend Conf, to foster team cohesion and culture
- Handle administrative tasks, ranging from contracts to shipments to onboarding logistics, with attention to detail and efficiency
- Manage external stakeholders, including vendors and partners, to maintain positive relationships
- Analyze and simplify complex operational challenges to improve overall business efficiency
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the operational framework of the company

- Experience in operations, finance, or event planning, with a proven track record of managing complex tasks and projects
