About the Role
The Digital Reporter role is a unique opportunity to work with Filevine, a leading Legal AI company. As a commissioned notary public, you will facilitate remote legal proceedings, managing Zoom sessions and ensuring accurate transcripts. This role requires a strong internet connection, a quiet workspace, and excellent communication skills. You will work independently as a 1099 contractor, choosing your own hours and having the flexibility to work remotely.Filevine's platform is designed to bring together data, documents, workflows, and teams into one unified system. What You Will Do
- Facilitate Zoom sessions with professionalism and warmth, creating a smooth and welcoming experience for all participants.
- Troubleshoot technical issues for attendees, such as muted audio or screen sharing.
- Safeguard transcript quality by ensuring optimal audio conditions for the Depositions by Filevine transcription software.
- Administer oaths, manage on/off-the-record moments, and handle procedural steps that support a seamless legal process.
- Conduct proceedings in accordance with established procedural scripts and legal prompts to maintain consistency and accuracy across sessions.
- Uphold confidentiality and maintain a composed, professional presence throughout each proceeding.
- Manage and organize digital files and transcripts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate effectively with participants, providing clear instructions and guidance as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with changing laws, regulations, and industry developments, applying this knowledge to improve the quality of services.
What We Are Looking For
- Active Notary Public license in the state of Oregon.
- Strong internet connection and access to a quiet, professional workspace.
- Video-enabled computer with necessary software capabilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work during standard business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday).
- Familiarity with Zoom or other video conferencing software.
