About the Role
The Paid Media Strategist position at Directive is a critical part of the company's Paid Media team, focusing on developing and executing comprehensive digital marketing strategies for SaaS and tech clients. This role involves overseeing a collection of Paid Media accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for client communications, and collaborating with operational partners to ensure alignment and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of paid search and paid social advertising campaigns, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Ads, as well as proficiency in using advertising platforms and tools such as Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.As a Paid Media Strategist, you will work directly with enterprise clients to understand their unique value propositions and positioning, creating customized strategies that meet their SQL targets. This role reports to the Associate Director and is integral to driving referrals via client relationships and professional networks. With the ability to create, maintain, and optimize budgets for paid media campaigns across multiple channels, the successful candidate will be adept at analyzing campaign performance data using tools like Google Analytics, GA4, and Excel to make data-driven decisions and optimize campaign performance.
Directive's approach to paid media is centered around Customer Generation, a marketing methodology that prioritizes SQLs and customers over traditional metrics. This approach requires a nuanced understanding of client goals and the ability to translate and articulate strategy and tell stories with data. As part of the Paid Media team, you will contribute to the development of comprehensive digital marketing strategies that allow clients to consistently hit their SQL targets.
What You Will Do
- Oversee and lead a collection of Paid Media accounts, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Serve as the direct point of contact for client communications, providing regular updates on campaign performance and strategy.
- Develop and execute customized paid media strategies for enterprise clients, focusing on SQL targets and customer acquisition.
- Collaborate with operational partners to ensure alignment on tasks, work quality, and areas for improvement.
- Drive referrals via client relationships and professional networks, leveraging your expertise to identify new business opportunities.
- Create, maintain, and optimize budgets for paid media campaigns across multiple channels, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
- Analyze campaign performance data using tools like Google Analytics, GA4, and Excel to inform data-driven decisions and optimize campaign performance.
- Work closely with the Associate Director to ensure internal and client goals are being achieved, providing regular progress updates and insights.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of client positioning and unique value propositions, using this knowledge to inform campaign strategies.
- Confirm lead routing accuracy within the CRM, ensuring seamless client onboarding and campaign execution.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in paid media, including the integration of AI and automation in marketing and operations.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience working in a performance or digital marketing agency, with a focus on paid search and paid social advertising campaigns.
- Experience working with B2B SaaS/tech clients in an agency setting, with a deep understanding of their unique challenges and opportunities.
- Proficiency in using advertising platforms and tools such as Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
- Strong understanding of PPC principles, including keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, and campaign optimization.
- Ability to analyze campaign performance data using tools like Google Analytics, GA4, and Excel, and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaign performance.
- Proven success with mid-market or enterprise accounts, with a track record of driving results and measuring success via OCT.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies and results to clients and stakeholders.
