About the Role

The Paid Social Strategist position at Directive is a pivotal role that involves overseeing and leading a collection of social media accounts for mid-market and enterprise clients. This role requires a deep understanding of paid social advertising campaigns, particularly on LinkedIn, as well as the ability to analyze campaign performance data using tools like Google Analytics and Excel. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to communicate results, create custom strategies, and execute paid media deliverables.

As a Paid Social Strategist, you will be part of a dynamic team that is motivated to win and is always looking for innovative ways to leverage the full power of social media advertising. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include building strategies for clients, creating and optimizing budgets for paid media campaigns, and driving cross-sells, upsells, and referrals via client relationships and professional networks.

Directive's approach to social media advertising is centered around Customer Generation, a marketing methodology that focuses on SQLs and customers instead of traditional metrics like MQLs. As a Paid Social Strategist, you will be expected to understand and apply this methodology to drive campaign optimization and growth.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee and lead a collection of social media accounts for mid-market and enterprise clients
  • Serve as direct support to client contacts, providing regular updates and insights on campaign performance
  • Develop and execute custom strategies for clients, including creating and optimizing budgets for paid media campaigns
  • Analyze campaign performance data using tools like Google Analytics, GA4, and Excel to inform data-driven decisions
  • Drive cross-sells, upsells, and referrals via client relationships and professional networks
  • Work directly with the Associate Director to ensure internal and client goals are being achieved
  • Understand the value of Programmatic campaigns and how to leverage them for client success
  • Execute and optimize advertising campaigns within LinkedIn, including ad copywriting, TAM development, and targeting to maximize ROI
  • Confirm lead routing is accurate within a CRM and ensure seamless communication with vendors and operational partners

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience working at a performance/digital marketing agency, with hands-on experience supporting B2B clients
  • Deep expertise across paid social advertising campaigns, specifically LinkedIn Ads
  • Understanding of different Ad Units within the LinkedIn Platform, such as conversation ads, document ads, CTV, and more
  • Proficiency in using advertising platforms and tools, including LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Zoominfo, 6Sense, and more
  • Strong understanding of paid principles, including keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, and campaign optimization
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance data using tools like Google Analytics, GA4, Excel, or other analytics platforms
  • Experience with audience segmentation by tier, job title, etc.
  • Proven and measurable success with mid-market or enterprise accounts
  • Ability to translate and articulate strategy and tell stories with data

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Programmatic campaigns and how to leverage them for client success
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and how to optimize lead routing
  • Familiarity with Customer Generation, a marketing methodology that focuses on SQLs and customers
