About the Role

The Painter role at Four Seasons is a unique opportunity to work in a luxury setting, maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the property. As a member of the engineering team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the hotel's paintwork are in excellent condition, from the guest rooms to the public areas. The Painter will be working closely with the engineering management team to identify areas that require maintenance and repairs, and to develop plans to address these issues. This will involve conducting regular inspections of the property, identifying potential problems, and taking proactive steps to prevent them from becoming major issues.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain the overall appearance of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to painted surfaces, including touch-ups and repaints as needed
  • Inspect the property regularly to identify areas that require maintenance or repair
  • Develop and implement plans to address maintenance and repair issues
  • Work closely with the engineering management team to prioritize tasks and allocate resources
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and facilities, to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Provide training and support to other team members as needed
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including before-and-after photos and detailed reports
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in painting and maintenance, preferably in a luxury hospitality setting
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver painting equipment and supplies
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in painting and maintenance preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

Nice to Have

  • Experience with specialized painting techniques, such as faux finishing or decorative painting
  • Knowledge of sustainability and environmental best practices in painting and maintenance
