About the Role
As a Paralegal at Hire Hangar, you will be an integral part of a fast-paced, remote law firm environment, supporting attorneys across multiple practice areas. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting legal research, drafting documents, and managing case files. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can handle diverse caseloads simultaneously.The legal landscape is becoming increasingly complex, and the need for skilled paralegals who can navigate this environment with precision is growing. What You Will Do
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries, memos, and briefs across multiple practice areas
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence
- Manage and maintain case files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout all stages of litigation
- Coordinate and calendar court dates, deadlines, depositions, and attorney schedules
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties on behalf of attorneys
- Support attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial binders
- Track case progress and proactively flag upcoming deadlines or missing documentation
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents for filing with the court
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
What We Are Looking For
- Paralegal certificate or degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent hands-on experience in a law firm
- Minimum 2–3 years of paralegal experience in a general or multi-practice area law firm
- Strong legal research skills with proficiency in Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar platforms
- Demonstrated experience drafting legal documents across varied practice areas
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with a professional, client-facing demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines with accuracy and composure
- Prior remote work experience, with proficiency in remote collaboration tools and platforms (such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar)
- Familiarity with US law, legal procedures, and court systems is a strong advantage
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting litigation, family law, immigration, or estate planning matters
- Familiarity with court e-filing systems (PACER, state court portals, etc.)
- Experience with legal case management software such as Clio, MyCase, or similar platforms
- Exposure to billing, timekeeping, or client intake workflows
