About the Role

As a Paralegal, you will work closely with the team to identify and mitigate risks, negotiate contracts, and ensure that all legal matters are handled efficiently and effectively.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations
- Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to the company's operations
- Support the legal team in negotiating and finalizing contracts with external parties
- Conduct research and stay updated on regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
- Work closely with internal teams to provide legal guidance and support in day-to-day operations
- Conduct and manage Know Your Customer (KYC) processes
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products and services
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and liabilities
- Develop and implement effective compliance programs
- Provide training and support to internal teams on legal and compliance matters
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legal documents and agreements
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as law or business
- A paralegal certificate is a plus
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Strong general understanding of legal principles, contracts, and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with the legal considerations arising from blockchain technology and smart contracts
- Proficiency with compliance platforms
- Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks with precision
- Ability to adapt quickly to the evolving regulatory landscape in the decentralized finance and blockchain industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have
- Experience working with decentralized finance and blockchain technology
- Familiarity with Synaps or similar platforms
- Certification in a relevant field, such as compliance or risk management
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
