About the Role
The paralegal role at Obelisk Support is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to join a dynamic team on a hybrid basis, attending the Cambridge office one day a month. This position, initially offered on a 3-month term, has the potential to be converted into a permanent, in-house role. The successful candidate will support the legal counsel in reviewing a variety of commercial contracts across the organization, utilizing existing templates and guidance to handle NDAs and standard commercial contracts.As part of a team specializing in flexible electronics, the paralegal will play a crucial role in ensuring the legal function remains responsive and agile. This involves not only contract review and administration but also assisting with company secretarial and governance tasks under the supervision of the General Counsel. The ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and good communication skills, is essential for success in this position.

What You Will Do
- Handle NDAs and standard commercial contracts using existing templates and guidance.
- Support with contract reviews and contract administration, including tracking, filing, and keeping workflows moving.
- Assist with company secretarial and governance administration under the General Counsel's supervision.
- Help maintain the legal function's responsiveness and agility by undertaking tasks that would otherwise be handled by senior lawyers.
- Review and analyze commercial contracts to identify key terms, conditions, and potential risks.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's contract management processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Provide administrative support to the legal department as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of contract management best practices.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as a paralegal in commercial contracts, either in-house or in private practice.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review complex contracts and identify potential issues.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the capability to work independently and as part of a team.
