About the Role

The Partner Account Manager at Nearmap is a strategic role that entails developing and executing plans to drive growth through channel sales and partnerships. As a key member of the Nearmap team, you will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new channel partners, while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing ones. Your expertise in Salesforce will be crucial in managing partner relationships, tracking opportunities, and providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.

The Partner Account Manager role is a critical component of Nearmap's go-to-market strategy, and you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Product Management, to ensure alignment and drive revenue growth. Your success will be measured by your ability to develop and execute effective partner plans, drive revenue growth, and maintain strong relationships with partners.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive growth through channel sales and partnerships
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners, while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing ones
  • Manage channel partnerships, including sourcing, enabling, and managing partnerships with VARs and other strategic partners
  • Develop and execute territory and regional partner plans to maximize revenue and value extraction
  • Build and maintain high-level contacts with partners to secure new business opportunities
  • Recruit and onboard new channel partners while maintaining productive relationships with existing ones
  • Manage the channel enablement program to provide resellers with skills, training, and knowledge to succeed
  • Engage decision-makers to articulate Nearmap's unique value proposition and drive adoption
  • Develop and execute plans to drive revenue growth and expansion in the US market
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to ensure partners are equipped with the necessary resources, assets, and support structures for successful sales motions
  • Build reseller partner business plans for assigned partners, including product positioning and incentive programs

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of direct and/or channel sales experience, with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals and driving partner growth
  • Experience with commercial negotiation, including partnership agreements, reseller contracts, referral arrangements, revenue share structures, and data licensing terms
  • Prior experience with data licensing, API-based integrations, and/or platform embedding partnerships, particularly within SaaS, geospatial, or data intelligence environments
  • Extensive experience with new business generation, strategic solution selling, and partner program development
  • Experience working with VARs, alliances, or channel sales models is highly regarded
  • Familiarity with SaaS sales cycles and subscription models is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of geospatial solutions is a plus
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects

  • Experience with Salesforce, including managing partner relationships, tracking opportunities, and providing data-driven insights
  • Knowledge of market trends and competitive offerings, particularly in SaaS and geospatial solutions
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Marketing
  • Certification in sales, marketing, or a related field
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools
