## About the Role As a Partner Development Manager at Stripe, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's open banking partnership strategy, focusing on growing a portfolio of top financial institutions in the US. Your primary objective will be to expand Stripe's direct connectivity coverage, ensuring seamless access to financial data for consumers. This involves owning end-to-end deal strategy and execution, from sourcing and qualification through negotiation and launch, with many of the top financial institutions across North America. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Risk, and others, will be essential.

The Financial Connections team at Stripe is responsible for sourcing, developing, and managing relationships with critical financial institutions, banking, and ecosystem partners. This team drives the expansion of Stripe's merchant and consumer offerings by building partnerships with leading companies in these areas. The partnerships developed by this team have a significant impact on Stripe and the products used by millions of its users.

In this role, you will be working closely with Stripe's leadership to drive strategic long-term objectives with key financial institutions. Your ability to develop and maintain executive-level relationships will be crucial, as will your capacity to lead teams through complex relationship management activities by setting a clear vision and running tight processes.

## What You Will Do - Own a partnership portfolio of top financial institutions and drive them through the full partnership lifecycle from initial outreach to scaled growth on Financial Connections.

  • Leverage deep knowledge of the open banking ecosystem to guide internal cross-functional stakeholders through an evolving business and regulatory landscape.
  • Implement thoughtful partnership strategies that accelerate Stripe's connectivity across the financial ecosystem.
  • Identify and effectively analyze new partnership opportunities, making recommendations to relevant decision-makers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Negotiate strategic partnership agreements with banks and credit unions, navigating complex legal, compliance, and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships at key financial institutions, partnering with Stripe leadership on strategic long-term objectives.
  • Exhibit an operationally focused mindset, with an ability to lead teams through complex relationship management activities by setting a clear vision and running tight processes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of partnerships, including Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Risk, and others.
