About the Role
The Partner Development Representative role at Ramp is a critical component of the company's Channel Sales organization. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for identifying and Developing new partnerships with financial institutions, driving sales opportunities, and contributing to the company's rapid growth. Your day-to-day activities will involve researching potential partners, engaging with decision-makers, and showcasing the value of Ramp's partnership program.The success of this role is deeply intertwined with the overall strategy of the Channel Sales team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Channel Partner Managers, Marketing, and Operations, to strategically grow Ramp's partner ecosystem. This collaborative environment demands excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

What You Will Do
- Generate new partner opportunities with financial institutions through direct outreach and research
- Engage and qualify new partner prospects through consultative conversations over various outreach methods
- Conduct in-depth research on Private Equity and Venture Capital firms to understand their investment thesis and portfolio companies
- Educate key decision-makers about Ramp's partnership program and its benefits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for growing the partner ecosystem
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client relationship data within Salesforce
- Develop and deliver tailored pitches and presentations to prospective partners
- Participate in industry events and conferences to expand Ramp's network and visibility
- Continuously monitor and improve performance metrics to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of partner development efforts
What We Are Looking For
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas simply
- Excellent listening skills and a professional presence in phone and video interactions
- Prior experience in partnerships or channel sales, preferably within the financial services sector
- High comfort level with sales, prospecting, and both virtual and in-person engagement
- Dedication to tracking and improving performance on a daily basis
- Interest in understanding specific business challenges within different verticals
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a high sense of urgency and the ability to work in undefined processes
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year university

- Prior experience partnering with or selling to Private Equity or Venture Capital firms
- Background in Financial Services, particularly Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Venture Capital
- Experience in customer-facing and/or sales roles within a high-growth startup environment
