## About the Role As a Partner Development Representative at Ramp, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by identifying, developing, and securing new partnerships with financial institutions. The partner development team at Ramp is responsible for generating new business opportunities through strategic partnerships, and as a key member of this team, you will be expected to leverage your network, industry knowledge, and sales skills to identify and pursue new partnership opportunities. Your day-to-day activities will include researching potential partners, engaging with key decision-makers, and developing compelling pitches that highlight the value proposition of partnering with Ramp.

## What You Will Do - Generate new partner opportunities with financial institutions through direct outreach, including emails, calls, events, and social channels.

  • Engage and qualify new partner prospects through consultative conversations, assessing their needs and determining how Ramp can provide value.
  • Conduct in-depth research on Private Equity and Venture Capital firms to understand their fund structure, investment thesis, deal history, and key stakeholders.
  • Educate key decision-makers in financial institutions about Ramp's partnership program and the benefits it offers to their portfolio companies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Channel Partner Managers, Marketing, and Operations, to strategically grow Ramp's partner ecosystem.
  • Develop and execute tailored outreach strategies to prospective partners, focusing on building strong relationships and delivering value.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions with potential partners within Salesforce.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to identify new partnership opportunities.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking meetings to expand your network and identify potential partners.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads and to provide ongoing support to existing partners.
## What We Are Looking For - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent listening skills, with a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
  • Prior experience in partnerships or channel sales, preferably in the fintech or financial services industry.
  • High level of comfort with sales, prospecting, and both virtual and in-person interactions.
  • Dedication to tracking and improving performance and efficiency on a daily basis.
  • Deep interest in understanding specific business challenges within different verticals.
  • Sense of entrepreneurship, with a self-starter mentality and the ability to work within undefined processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year university.
## Nice to Have - Prior experience partnering with or selling to Private Equity or Venture Capital firms.
  • Background in Financial Services, preferably Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or experience working at a private equity or venture capital firm.
  • Prior experience with customer-facing and/or sales roles.
  • Experience at a high-growth startup.
  • Ability to understand financial services and the fintech landscape.
