About the Role
The Partner Manager - Channels role at Datadog is a unique opportunity for an experienced sales professional to build and accelerate growth with channel partners. This position requires a deep understanding of the cloud software industry and the ability to develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth. As a key member of the Datadog team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and recruit new partners, enable and activate existing ones, and drive accountability through regular business reviews.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, strategic alliances, or channel sales, with a proven track record of driving sales opportunities from lead generation to closure. You will be responsible for managing ongoing relationships with key strategic partners, including professional services partners and resellers, and will work hand-in-hand with Datadog's regional enterprise and commercial sales organizations to drive revenue growth.
What You Will Do
- Identify and recruit new strategic partners to drive revenue growth
- Enable and activate existing partners through training, enablement, and joint selling
- Coordinate the technical and marketing aspects of integrated partnership launches
- Host quarterly business reviews with partners to drive accountability and report on success metrics
- Work hand-in-hand with Datadog's regional enterprise and commercial sales organizations
- Generate partner-sourced net-new sales pipeline and revenue
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth through channel sales
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Negotiate agreements and build long-lasting partnerships with key stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for growth
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic alliances, or channel sales at a cloud services or software as a service organization
- Proven experience in driving sales opportunities from lead generation to closure
- Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and architectural scenarios, and explain them to others verbally and in writing
- Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with partners and internal stakeholders
- Experience with systems management or monitoring
- Experience with partnerships supporting DevOps, particularly in a cloud environment
- Technical background or education
