About the Role
The Partner Solution Architect role at PingCAP is a critical position that entails driving the company's Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies and solutions for its flagship product, TiDB. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for researching the most advantageous industries and business scenarios for TiDB, identifying efficient GTM strategies, and providing solutions and strategies to business teams in different regions. This role will also involve guiding customers and users in crafting and building reliable, scalable systems using the TiDB data platform.The Partner Solution Architect team is made up of experienced software and database architects, as well as industry experts. The team's primary focus is on ensuring that TiDB and its solutions align with the needs of customers across various SaaS and Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) segments. As a Partner Solution Architect, the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to drive business growth and expansion.

What You Will Do
- Support business teams in North America, EMEA, APAC, and Japan, with a focus on the new economy industry
- Take responsibility for achieving relevant business metrics at the solution level and enhancing the Proof of Concept (POC) success rate of account teams
- Develop and implement scenario-based industry solutions, identifying entry points for products in various industries
- Safeguard products, solutions, and cooperation ecology, ensuring seamless integration and deployment
- Advise customers on architectures, patterns, and strategies for making the best use of TiDB, through efficient tooling and interactive user journeys
- Conduct market research and analysis, staying up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the database market
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to drive business growth and expansion
- Develop and deliver technical content, including blog posts, whitepapers, and case studies, to showcase TiDB's capabilities and thought leadership
- Establish industry influence, organizing internal and external industry technology sharing and disseminating distributed database technology, industry data architecture, and best practices
What We Are Looking For
- Professional experience in database or big data technology, with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of database and big data technology stacks, including RDMS, distributed systems, and cloud-native data technology
- Strong understanding of data technology trends and developments, with the ability to analyze and apply this knowledge to drive business growth
- Experience working with customers, particularly big accounts, and leading architecture teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions
- Experience with data architecture, data modeling, and data governance
Nice to Have
- Experience working with AI-era database foundations and distributed SQL architecture
- Knowledge of cloud-native data technology and containerization (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
