Job Description

About the Role

The Partner Solutions Architect is a pivotal role at Datadog, responsible for supporting various technical initiatives and activities for the company's partners. This involves working closely with the Director, Adoption Services, and collaborating with both internal and partner resources to drive success. The role is aligned with the Channels & Alliances business segment and focuses on ensuring the successful onboarding, training, enablement, and certification of partner technical resources.

Day-to-day, the Partner Solutions Architect will participate in joint business planning and review sessions to ensure direct alignment between Datadog and partner technical teams. This involves analyzing and understanding partner service offerings, providing recommendations to enhance their value through greater adoption of Datadog features and capabilities, and advocating for partners' technical concerns.

The role is part of a growing global team that collaborates constantly to share knowledge and advance technical skillsets. As such, the Partner Solutions Architect will be expected to continuously curate and evolve lead and best practices for Datadog platform adoption and success.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure the successful onboarding, training, enablement, and certification of partner technical resources;
  • Participate in periodic joint business planning and review sessions to ensure direct alignment between Datadog and partner technical teams;
  • Collaborate internally to support partner technical initiatives such as end-customer demonstrations and proofs of value;
  • Partner team enablement workshops; assessment, advice, and coaching on lead practices;
  • Advocate on behalf of partners' technical concerns with Datadog internal teams and personnel;
  • Analyze and understand partner service offerings on a regular basis and provide recommendations to enhance their value;
  • Collaborate with Datadog's product management, engineering, and technical services teams to help identify and prioritize new features and capabilities;
  • Continuously help curate and evolve lead/best practices for Datadog platform adoption and success;
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Datadog's products and services to effectively communicate their value to partners;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

What We Are Looking For

  • A solid technical grounding with hands-on experience in IT Development and/or Operations;
  • A demonstrable track record and passion for learning;
  • Self-starter, tech-savvy professional with solid business acumen;
  • Ability to articulate Datadog value from server room to boardroom;
  • Confident presentation skills;
  • Current EU residency;
  • Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: Observability (Datadog, Splunk, AppD, New Relic, or Dynatrace), Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Alibaba), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud Foundry), Dev/Scripting (Python, Javascript, Ruby, Perl, PHP, Go), Config Mgmt (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef), CI/CD (Jenkins, Gitlab);
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with data analysis;
  • Strong understanding of technical solutions and the ability to communicate them effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience working in a technical role for or supporting channel partners;
  • Previous experience using Datadog and/or other cloud monitoring tools (APM, Infrastructure, Logs, Synthetics, NPM);
  • Previous experience with root-cause-analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging.
