Job Description

About the Role

The Partner Solutions Architect plays a critical role in supporting Datadog's partner ecosystem, enabling the company's growth and success. As a trusted technical advisor, this individual will work closely with partners to drive technical initiatives, provide guidance on best practices, and ensure the successful onboarding and enablement of partner technical resources. The role involves collaboration with internal teams, including product management, engineering, and technical services, to identify and prioritize new features and capabilities.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to articulate Datadog's value proposition to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, leveraging a deep understanding of the company's products and services. The Partner Solutions Architect will participate in joint business planning and review sessions, provide recommendations to enhance partner services, and advocate for partner technical concerns.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure the successful onboarding, training, enablement, and certification of partner technical resources
  • Participate in periodic joint business planning and review sessions to align Datadog and partner technical teams
  • Collaborate internally to support partner technical initiatives, including end-customer demonstrations and proofs of value
  • Advocate for partner technical concerns, working with internal teams to resolve issues
  • Analyze and understand partner service offerings, providing recommendations to enhance their value through Datadog features and capabilities
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and technical services teams to identify and prioritize new features and capabilities
  • Help curate and evolve lead/best practices for Datadog platform adoption and success
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Datadog's products and services, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements
  • Foster strong relationships with partners, ensuring their success and satisfaction with Datadog's solutions

What We Are Looking For

  • A solid technical grounding with hands-on experience in IT development and/or operations
  • A demonstrable track record and passion for learning, with 10-15 years of experience in a customer or partner-facing technical role
  • Self-starter with solid business acumen and the ability to articulate technical value from a business perspective
  • Confident presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Hands-on experience in two or more of the following areas: observability, public cloud, containerization, Dev/Scripting, config management, CI/CD
  • Experience working in a technical role for or supporting channel partners
  • Experience using Datadog and/or other cloud monitoring tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience with root-cause-analysis and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of cloud migration, application modernization, and DevOps transformation
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
  • Certification in relevant technical areas, such as AWS or Azure
