About the Role
The Partner Solutions Architect at Datadog is a critical role that enables the company's worldwide growth by educating potential clients and ensuring existing customers are happy and successful. As a Datadog expert, you will work closely with the Director of Partner Solutions Architects and be aligned to the Channels & Alliances business segment. Your primary focus will be on supporting technical initiatives and activities for partners, such as cloud migration, application modernization, and DevOps transformation. You will be accountable for the outcome of these initiatives and collaborate with both Datadog and partner resources to drive success.The ideal candidate will have a solid technical grounding with hands-on experience in IT development and/or operations. You will be a self-starter, tech-savvy professional with solid business acumen and the ability to articulate Datadog's value from server room to boardroom. With a strong passion for learning and a track record of success in customer or partner-facing technical roles, you will be confident in your presentation skills and have a deep understanding of the technical landscape.
What You Will Do
- Ensure the successful onboarding, training, enablement, and certification of partner technical resources
- Participate in periodic joint business planning and review sessions to ensure direct alignment between Datadog and partner technical teams
- Collaborate internally to support partner technical initiatives, such as end-customer demonstrations and proofs of value
- Advocate on behalf of partners' technical concerns with Datadog internal teams and personnel
- Analyze and understand partner service offerings on a regular basis and provide recommendations to enhance the value of those services
- Collaborate with Datadog's product management, engineering, and technical services teams to help identify and prioritize new features and capabilities
- Continuously help curate and evolve lead/best practices for Datadog platform adoption and success
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Datadog's products and services
- Provide technical guidance and support to partners and internal stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- 10-15 years of experience in a customer or partner-facing technical role
- Solid technical grounding with hands-on experience in IT development and/or operations
- Experience with observability tools, such as Datadog, Splunk, AppD, New Relic, or Dynatrace
- Experience with public cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Alibaba
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Cloud Foundry
- Strong business acumen and the ability to articulate technical value
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working in a technical role for or supporting channel partners
- Previous experience using Datadog and/or other cloud monitoring tools
- Previous experience with root-cause-analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging
- Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins or Gitlab
- Experience with configuration management tools, such as Terraform or Ansible
