About the Role

The Payout and Discharge Specialist will be an integral part of the Residential Services team at Nesto Group, responsible for performing administrative functions related to bridge loans, mortgage payouts, discharges, and document management. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a thorough understanding of mortgage processes, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a member of the team, you will work closely with internal functional areas, management, and external business partners to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with regulatory expectations.

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in mortgage products, services, and processes, with a focus on customer satisfaction and compliance. You will be responsible for maintaining a thorough knowledge of mortgage documentation, bridge loans, payouts, and discharges, and ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of mortgage products, services, and processes related to mortgage documentation, bridge loans, payouts, and discharges
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by processing bridge loans, payouts, and discharges accurately and with high quality, within Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and within regulatory requirements
  • Prepare payout requests in a timely manner and complete reporting as required
  • Prepare and execute discharge and amendments within the provincially regulated timelines
  • Collaborate and partner with internal and external departments to support daily operations, including reconciliation of invoices
  • Prepare and execute Bridge Loan set up and discharges as required and within provincially regulated timelines
  • Ensure documentation and guidelines of policy/procedure are followed, and capture detailed notes in customer files
  • Resolve errors, customer concerns, and day-to-day challenges related to department responsibilities (escalate to Manager as needed)
  • Comply with all internal policies and guidelines, as well as all federally and provincially regulated policies and laws as related to AMLATF, KYC, and Privacy laws
  • Assist with all internal/external audits as required
  • Protect private and confidential information

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in residential mortgage payouts, discharges, and/or administration
  • Post-secondary degree or related work experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, and other software applications
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A proactive person who takes initiative and can work independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communicator and collaborator
  • Strong interpersonal relationship-building and listening skills

  • Experience with mortgage cloud platforms
