About the Role
The Payroll Specialist will play a critical role in managing global payroll operations for Remote, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant calculations, filings, and reports. As a key member of the Payroll Operations team, you will be responsible for processing both Global Payroll and EOR payrolls, maintaining accurate payroll records and employee data, and managing the Zendesk ticket queue. You will also act as the main point of contact for customers and internal/external stakeholders regarding payroll questions and processes.The successful candidate will have several years of experience working with payroll for Belgium, with a strong understanding of local compliance requirements and payroll best practices. You will be proficient in Excel and Google Sheets, with an analytical mindset and problem-solving skills. As a proactive and adaptable individual, you will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and identify opportunities for improvement.

What You Will Do
- Process both Global Payroll and EOR payrolls, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant calculations, filings, and reports
- Update and maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in Remote platform and payroll software systems
- Manage the Zendesk ticket queue, providing timely and professional responses
- Act as the main point of contact for customers and internal/external stakeholders regarding payroll questions and processes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with payroll vendors, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely service delivery
- Continuously improve payroll processes and keep up to date with internal payroll projects and updates
- Ensure full data integrity across all payroll systems and processes
- Collaborate with the Payroll Operations team to develop and implement new processes and systems
- Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge
What We Are Looking For
- Solid knowledge of payroll best practices and local compliance requirements
- Strong proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
- Proactive attitude, always looking for ways to streamline and optimize workflows
- Several years of experience working with payroll for Belgium
- Experience with in-house payroll processing, Social Security filings, and vendor management
- Customer-facing experience, solving problems and guiding clients and prospects through local payroll processes and questions
- Fluent English language skills
