About the Role
The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the payroll and benefits processes for Elevate LLC, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees worldwide. This position will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as implementing best practices for payroll management. As a key member of the finance team, the Payroll Specialist will work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes.The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll principles and practices, as well as experience with digital payroll systems. The ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities is essential. What You Will Do
- Manage the payroll process for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax and employment laws
- Implement best practices for payroll management, including process improvements and cost savings
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including Benefits providers and Tax authorities
- Analyze and resolve payroll-related issues, including discrepancies and exceptions
- Prepare and review payroll reports, including monthly and quarterly reports
- Develop and maintain payroll procedures and policies, including updates to employee handbooks
- Provide training and support to employees on payroll-related matters, including benefits and time-off policies
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in payroll management, preferably in a remote or global setting
- Strong understanding of payroll principles and practices, including tax and employment laws
- Experience with digital payroll systems, including cloud-based platforms
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Knowledge of benefits administration, including health and retirement plans
- Experience with data analysis and reporting, including payroll metrics and benchmarks

- Certification in payroll management, such as CPP or FPC
- Experience with international payroll, including knowledge of global tax laws and regulations
- Knowledge of HR systems and processes, including recruitment and onboarding
