Job Description
About the Role
The Payroll Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple Maples Group entities. This involves managing the complete monthly payroll cycle, including all employee lifecycle and pay adjustments, and ensuring compliance with labor laws, tax requirements, and statutory obligations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance, HR, and external vendors to support payroll operations, compensation budgeting, and continuous process improvement.The role requires a high degree of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of payroll data, reconciling benefits and insurance deductions, and preparing payroll reports and journal entries.

What You Will Do
- Manage the complete monthly payroll cycle, including all employee lifecycle and pay adjustments
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax requirements, and statutory obligations
- Reconcile benefits and insurance deductions, and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare payroll reports, journal entries, and intercompany recharges
- Liaise with external vendors, including Blue Bison and benefit providers
- Support annual and interim bonus processes, and assist with salary budgets and headcount planning
- Maintain payroll and employee data integrity across payroll systems, HCM, and finance tools
- Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and strengthened controls
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 4+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a multientity environment
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, statutory deductions, and multijurisdictional requirements
- Experience with Workday, Blue Bison, and financial systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Cayman Islands and international payroll practices is an asset
- Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
