About the Role
The Payroll Specialist role at Strada Inc. is a critical position that supports the payroll life cycle from start to finish. As a key member of the payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, as well as providing support to colleagues and clients. What You Will Do
- Support the payroll life cycle from start to finish, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing
- Utilize the hrX suite of tools to manage payroll activities and transactions
- Provide support to the payroll team, including training and coaching to ensure colleagues have the necessary skills and knowledge
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve issues, and implement mitigating actions to prevent future occurrences
- Proactively identify upsell opportunities and support the Change Request process
- Manage and maintain current knowledge of legislation requirements, system updates, and payroll procedures
- Answer payroll-related questions and requests from colleagues and clients
- Update and maintain process documentation, including Defined Work Instructions (DWIs)
- Participate in projects and activities as needed, including innovation initiatives and process improvements
- Support and guide project implementations and go-lives
- Develop and deliver training to colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in payroll processing and management
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and laws
- Experience with digital payroll tools and systems, including hrX
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and process improvement
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to recognize and deal with sensitive and confidential information
Nice to Have
- Experience with payroll legislation and compliance
- Knowledge of HR systems and processes
- Certification in payroll or a related field
- Experience with project management and implementation
