## About the Role As a People Manager at Pavebank, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's talent acquisition and people operations strategies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment plans, managing payroll processes, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws. Your expertise in global hiring practices and international talent markets will be invaluable in driving the company's growth and expansion. The role entails working closely with hiring managers and leadership to identify talent needs, build strong talent pipelines, and ensure a high-quality candidate experience. You will also oversee day-to-day people operations, manage employee records, and develop people policies and processes from scratch. As a key member of the team, you will report to the senior leadership and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
## What You Will Do - Develop and execute end-to-end recruitment strategies across all functions - Partner with hiring managers and leadership to identify talent needs and develop hiring plans - Build and maintain strong talent pipelines to ensure a consistent flow of high-quality candidates - Manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness - Develop, implement, and refine people policies and processes - Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations - Act as a trusted point of contact for employee matters and handle employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion - Drive engagement initiatives and support a strong, healthy culture - Provide strategic support to leadership on people-related decisions - Assist in internal communications and cross-functional initiatives
## What We Are Looking For - 5-8 years of experience in People/HR, with strong exposure to recruitment, operations, and generalist responsibilities - Proven experience building people functions, processes, and policies from scratch in a startup or high-growth scale-up environment - Strong understanding of Singapore and Malaysia Employment Act, with exposure to additional international employment frameworks - Hands-on experience managing payroll and ensuring multi-country compliance - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse, international teams - Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment - Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution - Fluency in global hiring practices and international talent markets
