About the Role
The People Operations Director role at Hadley Designs is a critical position that will drive the company's next phase of growth. As a leader in the people operations function, you will be responsible for building the systems that will support the company's remote and contractor-centric organization. The role will entail working closely with leadership to design and implement people systems that align with the company's growth objectives. You will also be responsible for managing the talent acquisition process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent.Hadley Designs is a fast-growing brand that is committed to making learning meaningful for families around the world. The company's products are designed to be screen-free, beautifully designed, and developmentally aligned, and are used by millions of parents and teachers. As the People Operations Director, you will play a key role in shaping the company's culture and ensuring that it is a place where people can grow and thrive.
The role will report to the leadership team and will have one direct report, the People Operations Specialist.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement people systems that support the company's growth objectives
- Manage the talent acquisition process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including recruiters and hiring managers
- Design and implement performance and development frameworks that align with the company's goals
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure that the organizational structure and workforce planning meet the evolving needs of the business
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive onboarding program for new hires
- Develop and implement a retention strategy to reduce turnover and improve employee satisfaction
- Manage and optimize sourcing channels based on performance
- Deliver weekly hiring pipeline reports broken down by channel and role
- Track funnel performance against KPIs
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in people operations or a related field
- Proven track record of building and implementing people systems that support business growth
- Experience with talent acquisition and management
- Strong understanding of performance and development frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and remote environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with contractor management and renewal
- Knowledge of employer branding and Glassdoor defense
Nice to Have
- Experience with HRIS systems and other people operations tools
- Knowledge of organizational design and capacity planning
- Experience with leadership enablement and development
- Certification in people operations or a related field
