About the Role
The People Operations Generalist role at Sentry is a unique opportunity to support the day-to-day functions of the People Ops team in the Vienna office. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of various HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and payroll coordination. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining compliance with local employment laws and regulations, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.Sentry's People function is dedicated to attracting, retaining, and activating top talent to drive the company's mission forward. As a People Operations Generalist, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, aligning with the company's global values. Your ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders, including Payroll, Legal, Finance, and IT, will be essential in driving efficient operations.
What You Will Do
- Support day-to-day People Ops functions in the Vienna office, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and payroll coordination.
- Collaborate with global People and Legal teams to navigate cross-border people processes and maintain compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Use HR data and metrics to inform strategic decision-making and drive improvement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, as well as improving and localizing People programs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, aligning with Sentry's global values.
- Lead with a proactive mindset, surfacing issues, proposing solutions, and helping shape the future of how Sentry supports its teams globally.
- Serve as a key partner to the Workplace team and provide backup coverage for the Vienna office when needed.
- Support the Amsterdam office and potential future locations in the EMEA region.
- Partner with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate data exchange and efficient operations.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 5 years of progressive human resources/people operations experience, with experience managing the full employee lifecycle.
- Strong working knowledge of Austrian labor law and employment regulations.
- Experience with HRIS administration, payroll coordination, and benefits management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with global teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and metrics.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive mindset.
- Cultural fluency, with the ability to navigate complex global environments.
- Experience with Adjust and Excel, or similar tools.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a hybrid or remote work environment.
- Knowledge of US employment laws and regulations.
- Certification in HR or a related field.
- Experience with project management tools and software.
