Job Description

About the Role

The People Operations Specialist role at mercor is a part-time, fully remote position that requires a highly skilled HR professional to manage various aspects of people operations, including talent acquisition, total rewards, employee relations, and workforce planning. This role is critical to the success of mercor, as it will help drive the company's growth and expansion. As a People Operations Specialist, you will work closely with the management team to develop and implement strategic HR programs that align with the company's goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices. You will be responsible for building scenarios across enterprise talent acquisition, total rewards, employee relations, and workforce planning at a Fortune 500 scale. This will involve constructing tasks involving enterprise HRIS at a scale of 5K+ to 50K+ employees, using systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and Oracle HCM Cloud.

What You Will Do

  • Construct scenarios across enterprise talent acquisition, total rewards, employee relations, and workforce planning at a Fortune 500 scale
  • Build tasks involving enterprise HRIS at a scale of 5K+ to 50K+ employees, using systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and Oracle HCM Cloud
  • Develop multi-country leave, benefits, and compliance scenarios, including FMLA, ADA, EU parental leave, and APAC statutory programs
  • Design enterprise total rewards programs, including equity, deferred comp, and executive compensation
  • Author tasks on Fortune 500 DEI programs, organizational design, and M&A people integration
  • Write rubrics that distinguish authentic enterprise HR judgment from generic guidance
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategic HR programs
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to inform business decisions
  • Develop and maintain HR processes and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, people operations, total rewards, or talent at a Fortune 500 or large public company
  • Direct experience with enterprise HRIS at scale and with multi-country workforce programs
  • Familiarity with Fortune 500 compensation philosophy, equity programs, and regulatory environments
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with global teams and developing strategic HR programs
  • Knowledge of HR systems and software, including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and Oracle HCM Cloud

  • Prior experience with rubric, training-content, or HR enablement authorship
  • Experience working with AI research labs or similar industries
