About the Role
The Performance Marketing Manager role at Nerdwallet is a critical position that requires a unique blend of marketing, analytical, and relationship-building skills. As a key member of the Paid Media team, you will be responsible for driving growth across Nerdwallet's affiliate and strategic partnerships channels. Your day-to-day tasks will involve managing and optimizing online marketing campaigns, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal budget allocation and channel synergy.The role reports to the Senior Director, Media Strategy, and offers a chance to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about bringing clarity to financial decisions. What You Will Do
- Own and drive growth across Nerdwallet's affiliate and strategic partnerships channels
- Manage end-to-end program management, from partner recruitment and relationship development to rigorous performance analysis and reporting
- Collaborate closely with the broader Paid Media team to ensure optimal budget allocation and channel synergy
- Build and maintain relationships with affiliate and strategic partners, including publishers, networks, sub-networks, and technology platforms
- Develop and execute annual roadmaps and forecasting models for the affiliate and partnerships channels
- Conduct incrementality testing and attribution analysis to accurately measure channel contribution and avoid cannibalization
- Monitor for fraudulent activity and maintain traffic quality
- Partner with SEM, Paid Social, Display, and other paid media channel owners to evaluate and optimize the overall paid media mix
- Plan and execute affiliate and partnership promotional campaigns, including seasonal pushes, product launches, and co-marketing initiatives
- Develop creative briefs and manage affiliate assets that drive conversion
- Manage platform configurations, tracking integrity, and brand safety compliance across all affiliate placements
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, affiliate marketing, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends and opportunities
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage external partners
- Experience with Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to build and maintain complex spreadsheets and reports
- Strong knowledge of affiliate ecosystems and performance marketing channels
- Experience with program management, including platform configurations and tracking integrity
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
Nice to Have
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of paid media channels, including SEM, Paid Social, and Display
- Experience with incrementality testing and attribution analysis
- Certification in performance marketing or a related field
