About the Role

The Personal Lines Account Manager is a pivotal position at Wilhelm, focused on nurturing and expanding client relationships within the Personal Lines department. This role is crucial for delivering the expected client experience standards, which directly contributes to the company's growth goals. Day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing a book of business, ensuring prompt, accurate, and friendly service to clients. This includes responding to inquiries, providing quotes, handling policy changes, and offering claim support. The Account Manager will work closely with producers to develop strategies aimed at retaining and renewing existing clients, as well as growing the agency's book of business.

The role requires a deep understanding of the insurance industry, particularly within personal lines, and the ability to communicate complex risk solutions effectively to clients. What You Will Do

  • Lead the customer experience for a book of business, ensuring high-quality service delivery
  • Collaborate with producers to develop client retention and growth strategies
  • Respond to client inquiries, provide quotes, and handle policy changes
  • Offer claim support and ensure that clients receive timely and effective solutions
  • Document all client activity within AMS360, adhering to agency guidelines
  • Manage and update data to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to provide insightful advice to clients
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and propose innovative solutions

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in P&C personal lines within an independent agency
  • High net worth experience preferred
  • Property & Casualty license
  • Insurance designations (e.g., CIC, CPCU) are preferred
  • Proficiency in an Agency Management System (AMS360 preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation
