About the Role

As a Physician - Neuroradiologist at Independence Health System, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and interpreting diagnostic imaging for patients. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home, while collaborating with a talented team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely diagnoses.

The neuroradiology team at Independence Health System is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, and as a member of this team, you will be expected to uphold the highest standards of excellence. You will work closely with radiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

What You Will Do

  • Interpret diagnostic imaging from various modalities, including CT, MRI, and PET scans
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Communicate complex ideas and results to patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in conjunction with other healthcare professionals
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in neuroradiology and diagnostic imaging
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and educate junior staff members and residents
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient diagnoses and treatment plans

What We Are Looking For

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Completion of a neuroradiology fellowship program
  • Current medical license in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Certification by the American Board of Radiology
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Experience with electronic medical records and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)

Nice to Have

  • 2-4 years of experience in neuroradiology
  • Experience working in a remote or telemedicine setting
  • Familiarity with health information technology and electronic medical records
  • Certification in a related specialty, such as neurology or radiology
