About the Role
The Platform Evangelist - AWS will play a pivotal role in Supabase's Partnerships Team, focusing on building and maintaining deep relationships with AWS Solutions Architects. This involves developing and delivering technical workshops, training materials, and enablement content to equip AWS SAs with the knowledge to position Supabase effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating demos, integration guides, and reference architectures that clearly demonstrate Supabase's compatibility with AWS services. This role reports directly to the Alliance Lead for the AWS partnership and requires close collaboration with AWS Solutions Architects to identify customer problems where Supabase can provide a solution.As a key member of the team, the Platform Evangelist will work proactively to close the gap between partner intent and real customer outcomes. This involves resolving technical blockers, providing support for AWS SAs working on Supabase implementations, and maintaining a close feedback loop with Supabase's product and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in PostgreSQL, APIs, and modern development frameworks, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain deep relationships with AWS Solutions Architects, focusing initially on defined verticals and open-source database migration motions
- Develop and deliver technical workshops, training materials, and enablement content to equip AWS SAs with the knowledge to position Supabase
- Create demos, integration guides, and reference architectures that clearly demonstrate Supabase's compatibility with AWS services
- Partner with AWS SAs on active opportunities, providing technical support to move deals forward and feeding pipeline intelligence back to the alliance
- Resolve technical blockers for AWS SAs working on Supabase implementations to maintain their credibility with customers
- Troubleshoot complex integration scenarios and turn solutions into reusable assets
- Maintain a close feedback loop with Supabase's product and engineering teams to ensure technical guidance reflects the latest platform capabilities
- Measure success through co-sell opportunities sourced, influenced deals, and SA enablement metrics
- Write technical blog posts and case studies that demonstrate real-world Supabase implementations
- Represent Supabase at conferences, meetups, and AWS-sponsored events
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in technical roles with deep hands-on AWS experience, with previous experience working at AWS or as an AWS partner
- Strong understanding of AWS SAs' incentives, how they make recommendations, and how the partner ecosystem influences decisions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong technical foundation in PostgreSQL, APIs, and modern development frameworks like React and Next.js
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and move quickly to build a playbook from scratch
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on solving real-world problems for developers
- Experience working in async, fast-paced environments
- Strong networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
