About the Role
The Platform Product Partnerships Lead will play a crucial role in driving the growth of Openai's flagship products, including Codex and ChatGPT. As a member of the Platform Partnerships team, you will be responsible for leading full lifecycle partnerships, from identifying and prioritizing partners to negotiating terms and driving partner success. This role has enormous impact, as Openai users and their agents increasingly interact with third-party services.The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the AI ecosystem and the ability to navigate ambiguity. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to bring new platform capabilities to market, and your input will be invaluable in deciding what gets built and which partners to prioritize.
The Platform Partnerships team is at the forefront of Openai's efforts to integrate its products with third-party services. As a leader in this team, you will be expected to drive aggressive timelines, clear blockers, and align internal and external workstreams.
What You Will Do
- Lead full lifecycle partnerships, from identifying and prioritizing partners to negotiating terms, closing complex agreements, and driving partner success
- Work directly with Product and Engineering to shape how connectors, agents, and third-party workflows function inside ChatGPT and Codex
- Develop ecosystem relationships to drive deeper engagement across distribution, co-marketing, and product innovation
- Translate partner commercial needs, technical constraints, and market dynamics into program and product recommendations, prioritization calls, and go-to-market plans
- Bring structure to ambiguous opportunities and help the team decide where to go deep, move fast, or say no
- Drive aggressive timelines by clearing blockers and aligning internal and external workstreams
- Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to build trust with external partners
- Provide input on product roadmap and strategy
- Manage and analyze data to inform partnership decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partners
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in product partnerships, product management, or developer relations
- Demonstrated success structuring and negotiating complex commercial and technical deals
- Excellent product and technical judgement, and experience building ecosystems or integrations for emerging products
- Self-driven, relationship-oriented, and adept at operating in a fast-changing environment
- Exceptional communication, structured thinking, and program management skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced ambiguous environments
- Creativity, adaptability, and a willingness to challenge assumptions
- Strong ability to collaborate with product and engineering leaders and build trust with external partners
- Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
- Experience working in the AI or tech industry
