About the Role
The Post-Editor role at LocalEyes is a remote position that requires expertise in technical documentation and localization. As a Post-Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing machine-translated content to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy. You will work closely with a team of linguists and project managers to deliver high-quality localized content to clients across various industries.The role entails reviewing and editing translated content, ensuring that it is free of errors and flows smoothly. You will also be responsible for conducting linguistic and cultural research to ensure that the content is accurate and relevant to the target audience. Your work will have a direct impact on the quality of the localized content, and your attention to detail and linguistic expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality results.
What You Will Do
- Review and edit machine-translated content to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy
- Conduct linguistic and cultural research to ensure that the content is accurate and relevant to the target audience
- Collaborate with a team of linguists and project managers to deliver high-quality localized content to clients
- Utilize CAT tools, translation memory, and style guides to ensure consistency and efficiency in the editing process
- Ensure that all content is free of errors and flows smoothly
- Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the localization process
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the client's brand and tone
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent experience
- Native speaker in Swedish language
- Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) experience required
- Excellent command of the Italian language in both comprehension and writing
- Experience in translation and proofreading specialized in Technical field
- IT skills with knowledge and experience of CAT tools
- Comfortable with technology and open to learn to use new tools
- Excellent understanding of Machine Translation Post-Editing processes and tools
- Linguistic and cultural competences of both source and target language
- Adaptive to fast-paced work environment with multiple changes of project priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience working with translation memory and style guides
- Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and concepts
- Knowledge of other languages, particularly European languages
