About the Role

The role involves driving a company vehicle, navigating through various routes, and ensuring timely delivery of mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses. You will be the face of Royal Mail in the community, interacting with customers, and providing exceptional customer service.

What You Will Do

• Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses in the Peterborough area
• Drive a company vehicle, navigating through various routes and managing deliveries
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues
• Work independently, managing your time and schedule to ensure timely deliveries
• Handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying mail and packages
• Work in variable weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures
• Manage and maintain the company vehicle, ensuring it is clean and in good working condition
• Report any issues or concerns to the management team
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient delivery operations

What We Are Looking For

• A full UK manual driving license with no more than 6 penalty points
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Ability to work independently, managing your time and schedule to ensure timely deliveries
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and carrying mail and packages
• Ability to work in variable weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures
• Strong sense of community, with a passion for delivering excellent service to customers
• Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Ability to work flexibly, including Sundays and Saturdays

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a delivery or customer-facing role
• Knowledge of the Peterborough area, including roads and neighborhoods
• Basic vehicle maintenance skills, with the ability to perform routine checks and repairs
• Ability to speak multiple languages, with the ability to interact with customers from diverse backgrounds
