About the Role
As a Postperson with Driving at Royal Mail, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to residents and businesses in the Tiverton area. Your role will involve driving a company vehicle, navigating through various routes, and ensuring timely deliveries. What You Will Do
- Deliver mail and packages to residents and businesses in the Tiverton area
- Drive a company vehicle, navigating through various routes and ensuring timely deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service, interacting with colleagues and customers
- Work independently, managing your workload and prioritizing tasks
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections
- Handle and deliver sensitive items, such as election materials and certain products
- Work flexibly, including weekends and holidays, as part of a local rota
- Keep your vehicle clean and well-maintained, adhering to company standards
- Participate in training and development programs to improve your skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
What We Are Looking For
- A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with diverse customers
- Ability to work independently, managing your workload and prioritizing tasks
- Strong sense of community and pride in your work
- Ability to walk for long periods and work outside in all types of weather
- Basic knowledge of Excel and adjust skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow company procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays

- Previous experience in a delivery or customer-facing role
- Knowledge of the local area and navigation skills
