About the Role

The PR and Partnerships Manager role at SmartBuyGlasses is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing e-commerce company and contribute to its brand recognition and awareness. As a key member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing PR and partnerships strategies that drive brand growth, influencer partnerships, and content creation. You will work closely with the founding team, merchandising, influencer, creative, and SEO teams to ensure alignment and maximize impact.

The role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on building relationships with journalists, influencers, and partners. You will be expected to pitch stories, secure media coverage, and negotiate partnerships that drive brand awareness and revenue growth. With a strong focus on content creation, you will also be responsible for developing and implementing a content strategy that showcases the brand's story, products, and values.

As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, with a high degree of autonomy and ownership over your work. You will be expected to be self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently, with regular check-ins with the team.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement PR and partnerships strategies that drive brand growth, influencer partnerships, and content creation
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and partners to secure media coverage and partnerships
  • Pitch stories and secure media coverage in top-tier publications, podcasts, and social media channels
  • Negotiate partnerships with influencers, designers, and cultural figures to drive brand awareness and revenue growth
  • Develop and implement a content strategy that showcases the brand's story, products, and values
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to develop house-brand collections with influencers, designers, and cultural figures
  • Build and manage a diversified earned media footprint that drives branded demand and authority
  • Develop and implement a brand ambassador program that drives real reach and engagement
  • Work closely with the social and influencer lead to convert influencer reach into branded search lift
  • Set editorial direction for brand content on site, including storytelling, launches, and brand pages
  • Work with the SEO lead to prioritize and optimize content for search visibility
  • Track AI search visibility and shape PR and mentions to surface the brand in search results
  • Run disciplined experiments on formats, hooks, and distribution to optimize content performance

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in PR, brand, or partnerships at a consumer, fashion, lifestyle, or e-commerce brand
  • Direct ownership of commercial outcomes, including brand growth, revenue growth, and partnerships
