About the Role

The Presale Software Planner role at Siemens Healthineers is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare and technology. As a key member of the pre-sales team, you will partner with sales, service, and project management teams to establish customer requirements and expectations, ensuring project and quote readiness. Your expertise in software planning will be crucial in developing detailed project-specific deliverables, including implementation options and high-level timelines.

The role involves working closely with Varian's customers, including clinical oncology service line managers and hospital IT teams, to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions. Your ability to address complex issues, analyze situations, and evaluate variable factors will be essential in this position. You will also be responsible for completing routine planning requests independently, with minimal oversight, following software planning processes and utilizing necessary tools and planning templates.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with sales, service, and project management teams to establish customer requirements and expectations
  • Develop detailed project-specific deliverables, including implementation options and high-level timelines
  • Engage with customers in a pre-sales capacity to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Complete routine planning requests independently, with minimal oversight, following software planning processes and utilizing necessary tools and planning templates
  • Utilize Salesforce (Unity) tool to navigate the quoting and sales process
  • Create System Topology diagrams with Visio to visually present a customer’s technical environment
  • Host and lead infrastructure-related discussions with clinical and IT teams, including CIO and hospital executives
  • Develop trust with clients through consistent delivery of high-quality outcomes and setting proper expectations
  • Perform Quote QA independently, with detailed analysis of customer expectations and follow-up with the sales team
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop complex implementation plans

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or healthcare technology
  • 3-5 years of experience in software planning, sales, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Excel
  • Experience with System Topology diagrams and Visio
  • Strong understanding of network design, security systems, software controls systems, and server management
  • Ability to address complex issues and analyze situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong customer service acumen
  • Experience working with cloud solutions and virtualized server platforms
  • Knowledge of oncology service lines, particularly Varian products

Nice to Have

  • PMP certification
  • Experience in telecommunications
  • Familiarity with Luminary, Strategic, or Complex customer projects
