About the Role
Twilio is seeking a Presales Architect to join its Communications team, focusing on strategic segments. This critical role involves delivering technical wins and ensuring the best product fit for customers. As a key member of the sales team, the Presales Architect will lead technical pre-sales relationships, drive technical discovery, propose technical architectures, and demonstrate products. The ability to build customer trust in Twilio's solutions is paramount.The Presales Architect will work closely with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities, including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions. This role requires a deep understanding of customer technical pains and the ability to design, demonstrate, and present innovative solutions that solve business challenges.
As a recognized pre-sales expert and technical influencer, the Presales Architect will be responsible for running complex opportunities independently and mentoring peers. Effective communication across departments and functions is essential, along with the ability to own the strategic vision for the organization across multiple calendar years.
What You Will Do
- Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities, including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, and technical presentations.
- Help customers achieve success by leading the technical and product sale, recommending best-practice solutions, and guiding them on how to use Twilio's APIs.
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to customers' senior leadership teams by understanding customer technical pains and designing innovative solutions.
- Build and present highly interactive, complex, and engaging customer product demonstrations to showcase Twilio's Communications Products.
- Proactively identify team or organizational needs, document them in-depth, and propose strategies to implement solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on sales strategies and customer success plans.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Twilio's products and services, as well as industry trends and competitor offerings.
- Provide feedback to product and engineering teams to influence the development of new features and services.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in a presales or technical sales role, preferably in the communications or technology industry.
- Strong understanding of technical architectures and the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation and demonstration skills, with the ability to engage audiences and build trust with customers.
- Proficiency in Excel and other productivity tools, with the ability to analyze data and create compelling business cases.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel for customer meetings and industry events (as required, considering remote work arrangements).
- Fluency in Portuguese and English, given the role's focus on the Brazilian market.
- Experience with cloud-based communications platforms and APIs is a significant advantage.
