About the Role

The Pricing Business Partner position at Ryder System, Inc. is a critical component of the company's financial team, responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that drive business growth and profitability. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and provide financial support to ensure the company meets its business objectives. The role will involve collaborating with sales and operations teams to develop and present bids and solutions to customers, as well as assessing and incorporating risks into pricing models.

The Pricing Business Partner will be responsible for delivering well-documented, timely, and complete customer pricing deliverables, enforcing costing and pricing processes in accordance with corporate guidelines, and developing and managing relationships with the Ryder Field organization and other HQ groups. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to drive business growth and profitability
  • Provide financial support to sales and operations teams to ensure the company meets its business objectives
  • Assess and incorporate risks into pricing models
  • Deliver well-documented, timely, and complete customer pricing deliverables
  • Enforce costing and pricing processes in accordance with corporate guidelines
  • Develop and manage relationships with the Ryder Field organization and other HQ groups

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and pricing models
  • Experience with financial analysis and planning
  • Ability to influence internal and external constituents
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with transportation or logistics industry
  • Knowledge of Excel and other financial analysis tools
  • Certification in finance or accounting, such as CPA or CFA
