Job Description
About the Role
The Pricing Specialist will be a key component of syncreon's contract logistics team, responsible for driving the efficiency of bids and delivering well-thought-out pricing models. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive cost and price models, and will be the lead on large and complex global pricing opportunities. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the logistics industry and will be able to work effectively with senior management to achieve target price and margin requirements.The Pricing Specialist will be working on bids across the Americas and across all business verticals, becoming a true generalist across all pricing categories. This role will require strong client-facing skills, with the ability to explain pricing decisions to customers and negotiate pricing parameters with sales teams.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain comprehensive cost and price models for large and complex global pricing opportunities
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement pricing strategies
- Create financial models that accurately reflect the solutions presented to customers
- Perform win validation and implementation support to ensure pricing aligns with final Statement of Work
- Review contract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with pricing models and financial targets
- Contribute to pricing approval meetings with Senior Regional Leadership
- Meet with clients to discuss pricing elements in negotiations
- Analyze cost data from existing business to develop and maintain cost figures
- Ensure competitive quotes are completed on time
- Participate in customer pre-bids and/or presentations as required
What We Are Looking For
- Extensive experience in pricing, finance, or engineering from within the logistics industry, supply chain, or 3PL industry
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with cost modelling and financial modelling
- Strong ability to develop relationships and set expectations with Senior Level Executives
- Strong client-facing skills and the ability to explain pricing decisions to customers
- Ability to work under pressure and calculate pricing impacts quickly and accurately
- Experience working with overlapping deadlines and demonstrated time management skills
- Fluency in English, with fluency in Spanish or Portuguese an asset
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering
- Full knowledge of costing activities
