Job Description

About the Role

The Prin Specialist, Commodity Management & Sourcing, plays a crucial role in establishing and executing supply chain strategies for RTX. This involves negotiating contracts, analyzing price proposals, and ensuring that the company's sourcing goals and service levels are met. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the procurement process, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

As part of the RTX team, the Prin Specialist will be responsible for identifying and conducting research on suppliers to ensure that the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met. This will involve evaluating vendors' capabilities, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness, as well as analyzing financial reports and other data to determine reasonable prices.

The Prin Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing operations, supply chain, and environment, health & safety (EH&S), to strengthen the connection across Collins Aerospace. What You Will Do

  • Set negotiation terms for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies
  • Execute supply chain strategies and establish sourcing goals and acceptable service levels
  • Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives
  • Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices
  • Evaluate vendors' capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness
  • Identify and conduct research on suppliers to ensure that the organization's standards are met
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain efficiency
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to achieve cost savings and improve quality
  • Provide market intelligence and trend analysis to inform sourcing decisions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • Advanced knowledge of commodity management and strategic sourcing
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field
  • University degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate fluently and professionally
  • Practical knowledge of project management and contract negotiation
  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
