About the Role
The Principal Customer Solutions Architect position at Caylent is a critical role that partners with the sales team to drive customer success through the design and implementation of AWS solutions. As a trusted advisor to existing and potential customers, the successful candidate will have a broad and deep understanding of AWS services, including workload migrations, cloud native application development, DevOps, data engineering, security, and compliance. The role entails working closely with customers to understand their goals and challenges, designing solutions that meet their needs, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.Day-to-day, the Principal Customer Solutions Architect will be working remotely as part of a global team, interacting with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to drive business forward. What You Will Do
- Lead deep dive discovery, architecture, and design sessions with strategic and enterprise customers to propose Well-Architected solutions that meet their business needs.
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor for executive customer stakeholders, aligning technical solutions with business goals and objectives.
- Author proposals and statements of work that capture customer requirements and constraints, ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Educate customers and evangelize AWS through various channels, including blogs, white papers, webinars, presentations, and direct customer engagement.
- Collaborate with and enable AWS pursuit teams to drive business growth and customer success.
- Win significantly complex pursuits and interact with strategic stakeholders to establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Provide mentorship to CSA peers, offering guidance on more complex and strategic pursuits, as well as career growth and development.
- Proactively contribute to the advancement of team best practices and processes, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience architecting, building, and operating solutions on AWS, with a deep understanding of AWS services and technologies.
- Proven ability to establish oneself as a trusted advisor to customers, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in leading deep dive discovery, architecture, and design sessions with customers.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and more.
- Ability to author proposals and statements of work, with experience in project management and delivery.
- Experience in educating customers and evangelizing AWS, with strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to align technical solutions with business goals and objectives.
- Experience working in a remote environment, with a high degree of autonomy and self-motivation.
Nice to Have
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud native application development, including serverless computing and microservices architecture.
- Experience with data engineering and analytics, including services such as Redshift, QuickSight, and Lake Formation.
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks, including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
- Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.
