About the Role
The Principal Enterprise Security Architect will play a critical role in designing and governing the bank's information systems, ensuring the security, efficiency, and reliability of its digital infrastructure. This is a high-impact position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and collaboration skills. The successful candidate will work closely with IT leadership and other stakeholders to drive technical decisions, policies, and solutions that align with the bank's strategic objectives. As a key member of the bank's technology team, the Principal Enterprise Security Architect will be responsible for analyzing client and user needs, evaluating technology and operational processes, and recommending designs that enhance performance, efficiency, and reliability. This will involve staying up-to-date on the latest security threats, technologies, and trends, as well as participating in research and development activities to identify innovative solutions. The role will also involve facilitating complex discussions between individual contributors and leaders in IT, as well as communicating effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.What You Will Do
- Collaborate with IT leadership and their organizations on technical assignments, issues, and problems
- Drive technical decisions, policies, strategies, and solutions that align with the bank's strategic objectives
- Work closely with IT to ensure that all technology initiatives are implemented within the existing or planned Reference Architecture
- Architect complex solutions with appropriate partners
- Contribute to and enhance the bank's technology and security architecture program
- Define technology and security requirements for the implementation of new applications and projects
- Serve as a technology and information security subject matter expert on projects
- Participate in conducting research on new technology, threats, and remediation techniques
- Communicate effectively, clearly, and professionally with stakeholders across all levels
- Assist in conducting risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and determine the impact of proposed changes
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Eight+ years of IT work experience relevant to the position
- Broad technical expertise and knowledge of systems administration, software development, information security, and IT infrastructure architecture
- Experience with on-site technology and cloud services
- Ability to lead leaders, teams, and staff through significant change, using influence
- Strong understanding of architecture best practices and emerging technologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience with agile and lean principles, including Six Sigma
- Familiarity with threat modeling activities and risk management frameworks
