About the Role
The Principal Partner Marketing Manager role at Smartsheet is a unique opportunity to lead and scale co-marketing programs across a diverse ecosystem of strategic technology and channel partners. As a key member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for designing and executing integrated marketing programs that drive pipeline growth and revenue expansion. With a strong emphasis on data-driven decision making, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with Smartsheet's overall business objectives.The role will involve managing a portfolio of high-priority partners, developing and executing co-marketing plans, and governing the overall partner marketing strategy. You will also be responsible for establishing scalable operating models, playbooks, and execution frameworks that can be adopted across the partner marketing function. As a trusted advisor and key connector between Field Marketing, Partner Sales, Demand Gen, and Product Marketing, you will play a critical role in driving alignment and ensuring seamless execution of marketing initiatives.

What You Will Do
- Develop and execute co-marketing strategies and plans with strategic technology and channel partners
- Manage a portfolio of high-priority partners and govern the overall partner marketing strategy
- Establish scalable operating models, playbooks, and execution frameworks for partner marketing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing strategies that drive pipeline growth and revenue expansion
- Develop and manage the partner marketing events strategy, including third-party event sponsorships and co-branded virtual programs
- Own partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline targets across assigned partner portfolio
- Build reporting cadences and dashboards to track performance and make data-driven investment decisions
- Develop and execute company policies and operational objectives for partner marketing
- Drive alignment between partner marketing activity and broader demand generation programs
- Operate as the primary partner marketing manager for key partners and navigate complex negotiations to preserve strategic partnerships
- Interact regularly with marketing management on matters spanning multiple functional areas
- Collaborate closely with regional Field Marketing leaders, Demand Generation, PMM, and Partner Sales to develop joint go-to-market plans and integrated campaign strategies
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with substantial tenure in partner, channel, alliance, or ecosystem marketing at a senior level
- Demonstrated ability to design and lead complex, multi-channel co-marketing programs that deliver measurable pipeline impact at scale
- Deep knowledge of the technology partner ecosystem and hands-on experience marketing with or through hyperscalers
- Strong understanding of data-driven decision making and experience with marketing analytics tools
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with budget management and cost planning, with a focus on driving ROI and revenue growth
- Strong collaborative mindset, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and partners
- Ability to navigate complex negotiations and preserve strategic partnerships while driving Smartsheet's agenda
- Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
